Artist Adam Neate to leave 1000 works on London's streets

Artist Adam Neate to leave 1000 works on London's streets
A BRITISH artist is to give away 1000 of his works by leaving them around London for anyone to find.
The Independent on Sunday said the works would be signed by the artist Adam Neate, whose pieces have fetched up to £43,000 ($100,000), and will be dotted around the city on Friday.

"It's always been a dream of mine to do a show around the whole of London, to take over the whole city in one go," the newspaper quoted Neate as saying.

"I want everybody to be able to see it but once the pieces are out there, I don't mind what happens to them."

The value of so-called urban art has rocketed this year. A painting attributed to graffiti artist Banksy, salvaged from a London wall, fetched £208,100 ($483,200) in an online sale.

Below is a video where he explains "there is no bad painting, there is value in everything".
