Inspiration...

Where do you get your inspiration from? Is it a book you read? Is it a song you hear, a smile from a stranger, a little child eyes looking up to you? I am just wondering how many diffrent ways people get inspiration...leave a comment and let us know.

oh lord...

This morning my alarm went off at 5:00 am. I am supposed to be ready by 5:30am to go to work in Las Vegas and I get a call from my pick up/ ride telling me they will be there early. I hate to be rushed! So I quickly get the rest of my stuff together and wait to be picked up. My ride arives and I say I am sleeping for the 1st half of my trip and then I will take over the driving, I just need a little more shut eye. Well....that didn't work. One passenger out of the 2 I was with falls asleep the other (driver) decided to play bluegrass country and talk non stop taking no consideration to anything I had just told them prior to getting into the car. I just think to myself this better all pay off! Ahhh life gotta love it! Have a great friday the 13th

Old Navy Commercial…

Old Navy Commercial…

Okay so the whole being proud to have a black president in office I do get…

However, this rush and over saturation of now we will put black people in our ad’s is getting ridiculous! I mean I get marketing (I do business in marketing) but after seeing the new ad for Old Navy it’s kinda freaking me out. Does any one agree that it seems like it’s a new trend to like African Americans just because our president is half? I have African American friends and I have nothing against them at all I just don’t know why people who did before suddenly think it’s the cool thing to do….weird!

I remember I used to love getting cards from my classmates in school when I was little...when did that feeling leave me? Bigest scam in the world...why do people need 1 day to remind the person they are with that they love them? Doesn't everyone hear it everyday?...

lost in time

I am lost in time right now and miss my time to do nothing, anything or everything at once. I can't wait till the work has paid off! My morning jog at the beach has been the only oxygen I get all day and then the bright morning light turns into night faster then a hampster on a wheel. Think of me in your moments of fun. I am there in spirit. Desiree out!

"Sex Chip"

• Scientists say toss out the Viagra
• "Better sex is on the way"
• But it's up to them to decide when

FORGET Viagra: scientists are working on an electronic "sex chip" that will be able to stimulate pleasure centers in the brain, The Australian reports. The prospect of the chip is emerging from progress in deep brain stimulation, in which tiny shocks from implanted electrodes are given to the brain. It has already been used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease. In recent months, scientists have been focusing on an area of the brain just behind the eyes known as the orbitofrontal cortex. This is associated with feelings of pleasure derived from eating and sex. A research survey conducted by Morten Kringelbach, senior fellow at Oxford University's department of psychiatry, and reported in the Nature Reviews Neuroscience journal, found the orbitofrontal cortex could be a "new stimulation target" to help people suffering from anhedonia, an inability to experience pleasure from such activities. Stimulating this area can produce pleasure as intense as "devouring a delicious pastry", he said. His colleague Tipu Aziz, a professor of neurosurgery at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford, predicted a significant breakthrough in the science behind a "sex chip" within 10 years. "There is evidence that this chip will work," Dr Aziz said. "A few years ago, a scientist implanted such a device into the brain of a woman with a low sex drive and turned her into a very sexually active woman. She didn't like the sudden change, so the wiring in her head was removed."The wiring remains a hurdle: Dr Aziz says current technology, which requires surgery to connect a wire from a heart pacemaker into the brain, causes bleeding in some patients and is "intrusive and crude". By 2015, he predicts, micro-computers in the brain with a range of applications could be self-powered and controlled by hand-held transmitters

Las Vegas Blooms

I have been working in Las Vegas recently and have come across the most stunning construction yet.
This new Monstrosity blows away anything located on the strip and will force everyone to up their game. It will be completed by November 09'....you have to click here to see but you cant really get the feel of it till you see it.
Construction continues on MGM Mirage’s $7.8 billion CityCenter project between the Monte Carlo and the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip. Executives say they are not sweating the roughly 1,300 condo units yet to be sold, largely because of the strong market for international tourism, which they plan to tap with a sales office in the United Arab Emirates.
Six months ago, Dubai’s government-owned conglomerate -- hot to invest on the Las Vegas Strip and enthralled by MGM Mirage’s CityCenter development -- came knocking with an offer to buy a half-interest in the project and acquire a 9.5 percent stake in the gaming giant.
MGM Mirage jumped at the $5 billion cash infusion, which would strengthen the company’s financial position and allow it to afford a major multiyear growth plan in Las Vegas even before there was much of a whisper about a softening economy.
The unexpected deal has turned into one of MGM Mirage’s most fortuitous opportunities.
It has allowed the company to go knocking in wealthy Dubai, winning permission from the Arab emirate to open a condominium sales office in the Persian Gulf state.
Don’t underestimate the value of a condo showroom in an investor-rich foreign country.
The Dubai partnership allows MGM Mirage to pitch its high-end Strip condos to a wide international audience at a time when much of the world is trembling with economic anxieties and investors worry about overhyped demand for Strip condos.
Dubai seems the perfect marketplace for MGM Mirage to pitch real estate investment opportunities.
While the $7.8 billion CityCenter development may be the most ambitious project in the country, and more than $30 billion in hotel and condo projects will be built on the Strip over the next several years, Dubai is plowing as much as $50 billion into commercial projects by 2010 an unprecedented growth rate for any tourism destination in the world.
And while investors see souring demand for thousands of condominiums yet to be completed in Las Vegas, Dubai plans hundreds of thousands of resort homes and tens of thousands of condos.
The region’s business-friendly outlook, rather than oil industry profits which make up but a small part of Dubai’s wealth has fueled its tourism-based economy.
This may explain why Tony Dennis, executive vice president of CityCenter’s residential division, isn’t sweating much about the prospect of selling more than 1,300 remaining condo units before the end of 2009, when CityCenter’s hotels and condo towers open their doors.
“Take what’s happening in Las Vegas and add a few more zeros to that,” said Dennis, who hopped a plane for his third trip to Dubai last week.
MGM Mirage is just beginning the process of selling Las Vegas condos to a globe-trotting crowd already familiar with the Arab emirate.
The company’s timing couldn’t be better.
A soaring trade deficit has weakened the U.S. dollar, which makes a Las Vegas condo a relative bargain compared with residences in other countries and in top cities such as New York.
“International buyers see an opportunity” with the dollar at its lowest point in at least a decade, Dennis said.
MGM Mirage forged the Middle East connection last year when Dubai World, a government-owned conglomerate, agreed to acquire a 50 percent stake in CityCenter as well as a significant amount of MGM Mirage stock. Last week, both parties agreed to enrich the deal. Dubai World expects to buy 6.5 million shares at $80 a share and MGM Mirage viewing its stock as undervalued given the demand for international tourism agreed to purchase 8.5 million shares at the same price.
Some wonder whether CityCenter, which has more condos than any other Las Vegas project, will be able to sell its remaining 1,300 or so units.
Condo buyers in other developments, skittish about the slumping housing market, are attempting to back out of their contracts. Buyers have reported problems securing mortgages from lenders that have tightened requirements, and speculators who helped fuel the spectacular rise in condo prices two years ago are trying to dump units worth less than what they paid for them.
Dennis said CityCenter is “outperforming” the competition because it is a unique project that appeals to wealthy buyers.
The company has sold about half of its condo units at CityCenter, with about 1,000 of those units bought by the company’s “friends and family” network. At least 10 percent of buyers are foreigners.
The marketing effort to non-MGM Mirage customers, especially foreigners, hasn’t yet begun in earnest, he said. That’s where the Dubai sales office for CityCenter condos will come in handy.
“The marketing opportunity is truly unlimited” because of the concentration of wealth in Dubai, which attracts investors from Europe, Australia, India and the Middle East, Dennis said.
Las Vegas-based condo broker Bruce Hiatt, who spent some time in the Middle East for his former employer, Exxon Mobil, said Dubai is a desirable resort destination sought by rich investors outside of the United States, including in Britain and Canada.
Americans, for the most part, aren’t clued in to Dubai’s growth, he said.
While surpassing Las Vegas in construction volume, Dubai is also exploding with award-winning architecture at a higher overall level of quality than offerings in Las Vegas, he added.
“Las Vegas could learn a lot from Dubai in this regard.”

What would be your perfect night? Would you come to Vegas for it?

We are thinking of putting together an amazing event that is all alcohol included, appetizers as well burlesque shows and performances by the best and would cost $150.00 for entrance. What would you expect to get for that price and who would you suggest seeing perform there? Who knows maybe we can create your perfect night! It would have to attract all crowds not just one particular crowd.

Artist Adam Neate to leave 1000 works on London's streets

Artist Adam Neate to leave 1000 works on London's streets
A BRITISH artist is to give away 1000 of his works by leaving them around London for anyone to find.
The Independent on Sunday said the works would be signed by the artist Adam Neate, whose pieces have fetched up to £43,000 ($100,000), and will be dotted around the city on Friday.

"It's always been a dream of mine to do a show around the whole of London, to take over the whole city in one go," the newspaper quoted Neate as saying.

"I want everybody to be able to see it but once the pieces are out there, I don't mind what happens to them."

The value of so-called urban art has rocketed this year. A painting attributed to graffiti artist Banksy, salvaged from a London wall, fetched £208,100 ($483,200) in an online sale.

Below is a video where he explains "there is no bad painting, there is value in everything".

The High Cost of Low Prices

By far one of the best documentary I ever seen...
Video of The High Cost of Low Prices

I used to shop at Walmart till I saw this video and will NEVER again go back. The company has taken millions from the communities around them making it hard to employ city workers such as Fireman, Officers they have caused schools to close and more then half of the community violence...rape,theft, etc. goes on in the parking lots of Walmart. The employees of Walmart have contributed to different charities more then the owners of Walmart. They make it impossible to get paid over time and are doing fraudulently. Walmart employees sweat shops over seas and MAKES the employee pay a rent in the "dorms" of the facility they work in and if they chose not to live there they still have to pay the rent wage. They have people come in to teach the workers of the sweat shop what to say when inspectors come in. If the workers choose not to say what they are told they are "dealt" with. The management encourages the employees to use Medical and welfare systems. The owners of Walmart decided after 9/11 that they needed to build an underground bunker to keep them safe.

Please make sure never to shop at Walmart again! Do not support this facility and the morals they go by. People lives are being destroyed by this company and if there is ever a Walmart in your area going up you and your community always have the power to keep them out no matter what!

Attention Whores

Recent scandal for attention...

I think Disney need to stop endorsing teens and stick with the pre teen girls for their shows. Seems as though its getting worse and worse and maybe after a certain age they need to let their "kids" go.

Click here for Article Source or read on
In what is becoming a naughty epidemic, The Cheetah Girls singer Adrienne Bailon is the latest Disney star to be caught with her pants down when semi-nude pics were found posted on the Web over the weekend.

Private photos of the singer posing provocatively in a bra and showing her bare behind – the risque snaps were intended for her fiancé Robert Kardashian, the younger brother of Kim Kardashian, as an anniversary surprise – began circulating the Internet last Friday.

The 25-year-old singer has threatened legal action against the thief who leaked her naked pictures onto the Internet.

Her spokesman, Jonathan Jaxson, tells www.tmz.com, “These photos were taken in private. Adrienne will be pursuing legal action against the person or person’s sending these private photos out. (Watch video of Jaxson explain how this PR stunt went wrong.) Basically admitting that this was done with intent of full media exposure.

“Adrienne is deeply sorry for any pain this may have caused to her fans.” I say "Yeah Right!!"

The NSFW photos (adult content) were reportedly stored in her laptop which was stolen in late October at JFK International Airport in New York while Bailon was waiting for a flight. The laptop was eventually recovered sans the naughty pics from someone who called Bailon and demanded $1,000.

Last year, naked photos of Disney’s High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens were found circulating the Web. According to reports, Hudgens allegedly snapped the photos for her boyfriend and HSM co-star, Zac Efron.

Can someone please take these cameras away from them already?

Six Degrees of Naked (and semi-naked) Disney Chicks
# Adrienne Bailon (Disney movie singer/actor, private photos made public)
# Vanessa Hudgens (Disney’s HSM star, private photos made public)
# Miley Cyrus (Photographs of ‘Hannah Montana’ star semi-naked posing in the shower leaked on the Internet; Major controversy still surrounds the 15-year-old singer/actor’s decision to pose for Vanity Fair)
# Britney Spears (Ex-Disney Mouseketeer…really, do you need any details?)
# Lindsey Lohan (Another Disney alum…let’s just save us time and spare the details, shall we?)
# Christina Aguilera (Disney alum…can’t find any proof that her private pics are real but her signature song ‘Genie in a Bottle’ was so sexually charged that she makes the list anyway)

So what do you think, bad luck or really bad decisions?

FEATURE///POLITIKS///SHEPARD FAIREY ON OBAMA: THE SUPERTOUCH INTERVIEW

Having provided the main image for the OBAMA campaign now recognized around the world, the influence of street & graphic artist SHEPARD FAIREY cannot be overstated. Having transcended the traditional boundaries of his chosen medium to create an image that united and inspired voters (and the presidential candidate himself) across lines of class, race, gender, and party, Fairey has achieved a truly monumental task in this election and inspired a generation of young people to become politically active in the process. A key element to the success of Obama’s visual campaign was Fairey’s mostly illegal dissemination tactics of wheatpasting posters on private and public property without permission, a sweet little twist in the side of the political machine that proved the artist’s steadfast adherence to his streetwise principals remained intact while working overground in such an unprecedented way. In doing so, he single-handedly inspired a nation of supporters to do the same and the Obama campaign has seen an outpouring of viral aesthetic support at a level never before realized by a political candidate. On the eve of tomorrow’s presidential election, we spoke with Shepard about the relevance of his work for Obama and his thoughts on the shape of political things to come. READ ON:

I do as I am told

If President Elect Obama were the incoming CEO of a corporation, he would now be preparing for the first act of his tenure: A massive write-off of the mountains of rotted junk buried on the company's balance sheet and an announcement that recovery will take a long, long time.
This flush would clear the way for several years of better than expected results. It would also take advantage of the new leader's one chance to blame the sorry state of the organization on his sorry predecessor.
President Obama began this process last night, in his victory speech, when he noted that restoring the country's health might take more than a term. In the next few weeks, he should go well beyond this:
• The deficit will be more than $1 trillion a year for several years
• The country needs a massive new fiscal stimulus
• The housing market will continue to decline through at least 2010
• Interest rates and taxes will eventually have to rise (after the economy stabilizes)
• Weak corporations have to be allowed to fail
• Millions of homeowners will lose their house
• Unemployment will probably rise to 10%
• The government simply cannot "bail the country out" -- not because it lacks the will, but because it lacks the power
In short, Obama needs to acknowledge reality, erring on the side of overstating the problems and challenges, and he needs to prepare the country for several tough years. Because if he doesn't, within six months of his taking office, the country will have forgotten all about the prior administration and will instead be blaming everything on him.

What I say to this is...
Either way we would be in this mess and either way we will all blame any one we can no matter who is office because we never take blame. Either way we were screwed. Maybe we should stop spending money on huge SUV’s huge designer purses and huge bling bling or small dogs that fit in our purses. Maybe instead of all the money that goes into the reality shows we should be saving and putting all to the EDUCATION of our youth and stop voting for idiots that can dance and sing and vote for a real president who can help. Both of the runners up flip flopped on so many issues at stake. Good for him to be the first African American but really people most of you voted Yes on 8 because you didn't like the part about same sex having sex and the thought of having your child taught that when in fact that had Nothing to do with Prop. 8 at all. You mindless minions did it again. (In robot voice) I will do as I see on the T.V. I will not research or educate myself on facts at all. When my son asked what prop. 8 was I told him that it was about people being allowed to marry who they are in love with even if its another boy or girl and he said that's silly but if they are in love then they should be able to. That would be like if grandma & grandpa never could get married. People he is 7 years old and understood better then most of you. Good Job America!! What's your opinion?
